According to Entertainment Weekly, comedic actor Jonah Hill (Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall) is in talks to star in the role of Shia LaBeouf’s roommate at Princeton in the upcoming Transformers sequel.

IESB.net lists the role as thus:

“[CHUCK] 19-25 yrs., Sam’s roommate at Princeton. He runs a conspiracy theory website. Funny in an irreverent, edgy way, he is shocked to see his conspiracy theories come to life. (2nd Lead)”

Now if this actor is set to play this role, I think he would have to roll off of Shia’s comedic prowess. I think that this guy can definitely pull that off.Now I have not seen the movies for which he is famous for, so I’m just guessing from what I’ve seen in the trailers for those movies. But it looks like he could be good for this movie. He might be like the big guy who was in the first movie.

Transformers 2 is set to be released on June 26, 2009.
